An Atlantic City man with a history of driving with a suspended license is accused of leaving the scene of a crash that killed a pedestrian in Galloway Township last week.
Darrell Dean, 61, was arrested Tuesday, five days after he allegedly struck a Barnegat woman, and fled.
Angeletta Sheppard, 30, was hit just before 8 p.m. on westbound Route 30 near Seventh Avenue.
A four-door silver Kia was parked nearby, but the driver was not found.
Crack cocaine was also found in the vehicle, according to the charges.
It's a the same car that is listed in three other incidents of driving while suspended Dean received citations for since Jan. 25, court records show.
He was last ticketed June 1 in Atlantic City. He also was ticketed by Hamilton Township police in March.
Dean is now charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash. He was released on a summons.
