An Egg Harbor Township man who was the passenger in an Atlantic City car crash allegedly fled with a stolen gun Sunday night.
Police were called to Route 30 and Gramercy Avenue at 7:50 p.m., for the report of a motor vehicle crash, Capt. Kevin Fair said.
Two of the occupants in one vehicle had fled, according to the report.
Joey Osia, the passenger, was found several blocks away in possession of a handgun reported stolen from Wildwood, Fair said.
He also had prescription medication and was wanted on two warrants for driving after he license was revoked in February and again in April, court records show.
Osia, 25, previously was one of several people convicted in riots that occurred in 2020, following a peaceful protest in Atlantic City. He is now in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The driver, Cimeron Oglesby, was also found, and issued summonses for careless driving and failure to report an accident. There were no reported injuries. Both vehicles were towed.
