An Atlantic City native is celebrating after hitting the Billboard charts.
Patrick Jeanty was scrolling through the website Tuesday morning when he saw his name, DJ SoulChild AC, in the No. 3 spot on the charts' Dance/Electronic Digital Songs.
"I literally broke down and cried at the ShopRite in EHT when I realized i was on the charts," said Jeanty, who now lives in Egg Harbor Township.
He was on TikTok live a few months ago when he developed the beat that would become "Rump." Jeane Marie, a TikTok'er from Los Angeles he has known for a few years, then heard it.
She "loved it and wanted to get on the track," Jeanty told BreakingAC.
The two found success in their first collaboration.
