LINWOOD - BreakingAC editor Lynda Cohen will join WOND broadcaster Scott Cronick for a media luncheon being sponsored by the PR Council of Greater Atlantic City Wednesday, April 30 at Linwood Country Club, 500 Shore Road.
Media plays a crucial role in society, delivering news that relates to current affairs, community activities, health and wellness, crime and public safety, politics and the economy. The panelists will provide insight into the state of media and how it affects public relations in the greater Atlantic City area.
Cohen founded BreakingAC and has been a reporter for three decades. She began her career at the Press of Atlantic City and was the only female in the Sports Department. Later, she worked at The Current newspapers. She returned to the Press covering crime and the courts in Atlantic County. She has received awards from the NJ Press Association.
BreakingAC is now an affiliate of Access Global Media and Technology, which also publishes Downbeach.com, OCNJDaily.com, SeaIsleNews.com and CapeMayNJDaily.com in the Jersey Shore area. The company also has eight online news outlets in the Mainline Philadelphia area, and recently launched PhillyDaily.com.
Cronick has also been an award-winning journalist for more than 30 years, and is currently a radio host on a local news and talk radio station. He worked at the Press of Atlantic City for 28 years, where he became director of entertainment publications, At The Shore magazine and Atlantic City Weekly. He is an entrepreneur, community activist and former business owner. He currently serves as co-executive director of the MBCA Foundation.
Tickets for the luncheon are $45 for members with reservations, $50 at the door; and $60 for non-members with reservations, $65 at the door. No shows will be billed.
