I didn’t plan to run a digital marketing agency.
I wasn’t the kid who dreamed of being an entrepreneur or the college student obsessed with business podcasts. I just liked solving problems, working with people, and figuring things out. That curiosity led me to consulting, where I quickly landed what I thought would be my “forever job.” But after a year of long hours and big projects, I started to feel it—the nagging thought that there had to be something more.
What I really wanted was freedom. Ownership. A creative challenge. Something I could build.
So I opened a blank page and started a food blog.
Lifestyled By Sam was my way of reconnecting with creativity. I wrote about hosting dinner parties, building mimosa bars, and making rainbow cupcake cakes. But behind the scenes, I was obsessing over the details—Why wasn’t this post ranking? What makes one recipe blog perform better than another? How do I get more traffic without relying on Instagram?
Turns out, I wasn’t just interested in blogging. I was fascinated by everything underneath it: SEO, design, UX, and strategy.
That blog became my playground for learning—and it laid the foundation for something much bigger.
By 2022, I officially launched Samantha Digital, a digital marketing agency built to help small businesses grow through web design, branding, and search engine optimization.
I didn’t want to be just another web designer. I wanted to help businesses use their websites to generate real results: more leads, more traffic, more sales. And I wanted the quality of our work to speak for itself.
Over the last few years, we’ve been recognized as a top SEO agency in Virginia and Washington, received certifications from HubSpot and Gotch SEO Academy, and built a portfolio I’m incredibly proud of.
But more than the awards, I care about the work—building websites that actually work.
As our agency grew, I kept seeing patterns. Certain industries had specific needs that general web design couldn’t address. So I started creating specialized service lines, each with its own clear focus:
This one came naturally. I know what food bloggers need because I was one. We create fast, SEO-optimized sites that support monetization, build audience trust, and make recipe publishing easy. Plus, we offer one-day design intensives—because most bloggers don’t have time to drag things out.
Wedding photographers often rely on their visuals to speak for them—but that’s not always enough. We build Showit and WordPress websites designed specifically to turn beautiful galleries into client bookings. Everything from the layout to the copy is created with conversion in mind.
The aesthetics industry is competitive, and SEO is often the missing piece. This agency focuses exclusively on helping plastic surgeons and cosmetic clinics show up in search results, generate leads, and build long-term visibility through content, local SEO, and strategy.
Each brand under Samantha Digital reflects a different part of my journey—but all are rooted in the same belief: design and strategy are inseparable.
Our approach is guided by a few clear principles:
What drives me isn’t just checking things off a list—it’s knowing we’re helping someone grow their business, increase their revenue, and finally feel like their website is doing its job.
I’ve had clients go from no web presence to ranking on page one of Google. I’ve seen wedding photographers triple their inquiries. I’ve worked with clients who tell me, “I finally feel confident sending people to my site.”
That’s the kind of work that never gets old.
We’re still growing. Still refining. Still experimenting.
Each niche we’ve explored has opened new doors, and I’m excited to keep building brands that serve specific industries in a meaningful way. Whether it’s launching templates, developing free resources, or building out a new vertical, we’re focused on doing it right—not rushing through it.
If you’re in a season where your website feels more like a placeholder than a growth tool, I’d love to talk.
We’re not here for quick wins—we’re here to build something that lasts.
