UPDATE: Judge dismisses charges against Atlantic City man

Video surveillance, eyewitnesses and patrol officers are being credited in the capture of a man who allegedly sparked the lockdown at a Pleasantville school.

A ShotSpotter audio gunshot-detection alert brought officers to the area of West Edgewater and Chestnut avenues at about 12:35 p.m. Tuesday.

There were no shell casings, but a vehicle parked on Edgewater was struck by gunfire.

South Main Street Elementary School nearby was put into lockdown as a precaution.

Detective Enrique Badillo was able to identify the vehicles involved.

Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township police were instrumental in locating these vehicles, Chief Stacey Schlachter said.

Rashin Holley, 35, of Atlantic City, was arrested Wednesday.

He is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm, possession of firearm for unlawful purpose and a certain persons not to possess firearms.
