A Galloway Township man faces a three-year sentence after pleading guilty in three cases out of Atlantic City.
Abdulahad Welch, 19, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of third-degree theft and two counts of third-degree possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute.
The first case was Nov. 28, 2023, when two victims told Atlantic City police that individuals entered their vehicle without permission and took items. One of the suspects was identified as Welch.
A month later, police saw Welch in a hand-to-hand drug deal of what turned out to test positive for heroin and fentanyl in the area of Tennessee and Atlantic avenues.
Another drug deal was observed last June 18 at Renaissance Plaza. Welch was found with fentanyl and cash on him.
He has been jailed since that time.
Welch's sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 18. He remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
