A family of three was displaced after a fire ripped through their Pleasantville home Thursday night.
Firefighters were called to Wesley Avenue just before 8 p.m., Chief Keven Vanegas said.
Crews brought the fire under control by 8:35 p.m., the chief said.
Two firefighters had to be evaluated by EMS at the scene. One of them was then taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation, before being treated and released.
The fire is believed to have started in a back bedroom of the rancher. The cause still is under investigation.
The family is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross
Mutual aid was provided by firefighters from Northfield, Linwood , Absecon, Egg Harbor Township and the South Jersey Transportation Authority, along with TriCare EMS.
