Atlantic City residents can get paid to clean up

  • Community

Atlantic City once again will make cleaning up the city pay off for some residents.

The Department of Public Works’ Clean Communities Program will mark its fourth straight summer of this initiative.

Public Works is looking for groups of five or more individuals to clean a minimum of four blocks twice a month to receive a $200 monthly stipend. Trash bags, gloves, grabbers and vests will be provided.

Interested residents must pick up an application at the Public Works Office in Room 604 at City Hall, 1301 Bacharach Blvd., where further instructions will be provided.

Questions can be directed to Clean Communities Coordinator Angela Pittman at 609-347-5700.

The program will run through Oct. 1.

The initial daily cleanup schedule can be found on the city's website.
