Israel Soriano-Vargas, left, and Vladimir Ruiz-Soliz are now charged in the incident in which Soriano-Vargas was shot.
Four teens now have been charged in a shooting at the Mays Landing Popeyes, including the Egg Harbor Township man who was shot in the head.
It was not clear how badly injured Israel Soriano-Vargas was, but the 18-year-old resident did not appear to have any bandages when he appeared briefly in central judicial processing court Thursday.
Hamilton Township police at the time said the driver was struck in the head June 9, after Christian Ruiz allegedly shot into the car outside the Popeyes where Ruiz has worked for the past year.
At Ruiz's detention hearing, his attorney insisted he was the victim, and questioned whether his client even had a gun.
Reading from the investigation's notes, defense attorney John Zarych said an occupant in the vehicle told police that "Manny called and said he wanted to do something. ... He had a plan to get revenge on the people who messed up his car."
A full name was not given at the time. But it appears Manny is Manuel Gonzalez-Florez, 18, of Pleasantville, who was arrested Thursday.
Vladimir Ruiz-Soliz, 19, of Atlantic City, also is charged, along with a juvenile whose age and hometown were not released.
The three adult defendants are jailed pending detention hearings set for this week.
Ruiz — who has no criminal history — was released following his detention hearing last Monday.
A follow-up investigation led to the new arrests, Hamilton Township police said.
The Hamilton police thanked Pleasantville for their help with the investigation.
