A Mays Landing man was fatally shot Sunday morning.
Hamilton Township police were called to the Hamilton Greene Apartments in Mays Landing at about 7:21 a.m., according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Kevin Schmalz, 28, was pronounced dead as the result of an apparent gunshot wound, according the report.
There is no threat to the public, authorities said.
