Two men were killed and another had to be airlifted after a crash in Hamilton Township on Wednesday afternoon.
Caleb Morris, 21, of Cedarville, Cumberland County, was heading west on Millville Avenue when he crossed the centerline and collided with an eastbound Jeep driven by Joseph Baligani Jr., 59, of Hammonton, according to the preliminary investigation.
Morris' Hyundai Elantra then collided with a Nissan Altima driven by Abdul Abdullah, 59, of Atlantic City, who also was eastbound.
The vehicles all came to rest in the roadway.
Morris and Abdullah were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Abdullah's adult passenger was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for serious injuries.
Traffic was diverted for about five hours while the crash was investigated, and the scene was cleared of debris.
Abdullah's last Facebook post was about being thankful and well, including an Islamic greeting that translates to, "Peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you, and praise be to God."
The Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare Paramedics and the Mays Landing Fire Department assisted at the scene.
The crash is being investigated by Detective Dennis Bakker.
