An Egg Harbor Township woman and Atlantic City man are jailed for allegedly forced a 14-year-old girl to have sex with men for money.
Tiffany Davis, 39, and Derrick Ross, 26, are both jailed on charges including first-degree human trafficking and promoting child prostitution.
Davis was arrested Jan. 17, at her Fernwood Avenue home. But it was a State Police Casino Gaming Bureau investigation from Nov. 27 that first made her a suspect, according to the affidavit obtained by BreakingAC.
Officers conducting a human-trafficking sting replied to an online escort ad Nov. 27, while at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
A short time later, the teen victim arrived and offered an undercover officer sex for money, the affidavit states.
Ross was arrested after police determined he had brought the girl there.
An investigation led to Davis, who had allegedly been forcing the girl to have sex with men for money, and then split the proceeds with Ross. It was not clear where the victim lives.
Detectives were able to link Davis to the ad, and texts on her phone revealed discussions about trafficking the girl, according to the affidavit.
Ross is also charged with human trafficking and has been in the Atlantic County Justice Facility since November.
