A woman was raped and a man assaulted when the Atlantic City vacation home they rented was broken into last month.
The home invasion happened in a two-story home on the 500 block of North Ohio Avenue on June 25, according to the incident report obtained by BreakingAC.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested a week later in connection with the attack, according to the report released after several records requests.
Two other suspects are listed as unknown.
Police have not put out a press release or responded to multiple requests for comment on the case.
About 13 people were in the home at the time of the attack, according to the report. The residents said they had checked into the property via VRBO -- vacation rentals by owner -- on June 19, and were scheduled to leave June 26.
Police were called to the home at about 9:30 a.m. June 25, and found a 21-year-old man bleeding with a swollen nose and eye, according to the report.
He told police that he woke up to find two men standing in his room. One told him, "Don't do shit."
The victim was then struck in the face.
A fight followed. The victim told police he believed there were six more suspects outside at the time.
It wasn't until police found blood upstairs that the female victim was discovered.
"I noticed a blood trail on the stairs and in the hall, blood smears on the wall and a significant amount of blood on the bedroom floor and bed," one of the responding officers wrote. "One of the (residents) said we should check on the female that had been in the room, because he thought something happened to her."
The 20-year-old woman was found in another bedroom looking distraught, according to the report.
"I was raped," she told the officer.
The victim described two to four black males possibly in their early 20s, including one wearing a face mask.
She was taken to the hospital, where detectives recorded a statement.
A search outside the home led to officers finding some items belonging to the victims.
The suspects were believed to have entered through a back bedroom window accessible by the flat roof of the first floor.
A week later, an officer responded to a report of property damage on the same street and recognized a 16-year-old boy wanted in the case.
He was arrested without incident at a home next door where several teens and young adults were arrested with a gun in April.
The boy was later transported to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
Neither department spokesman Sgt. Kevin Fair nor Police Chief Henry White responded to multiple requests for information about the case made over the past month.
