Pleasantville woman killed in hit-and-run

A Pleasantville woman was killed and a friend injured after a pick-up truck struck them and left the scene Friday night.
Nicole Tribbett and Rasheeda Sayers were standing in the roadway next to a parked vehicle in the 100 block of East Brighton Avenue in Pleasantville, when the truck struck them, Lt. Stacy Schlachter said.
The driver’s side door of the parked vehicle was on the south side of the street with the door open as the women spoke with someone inside, according to the report.
Tribbett, 43, died as a result. Sayers, 37, of Somers Point, was critically injured.
The driver, Jose Dominguez-Rivera, was arrested and charged with second-degree leaving the scene of a crash with injuries and third-degree crash with injuries while unlicensed.
He was also suspected of being under the influence, but police are awaiting toxicology, Schlachter said.
Dominguez-Rivera, 30, of Pleasantville, was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, but he was not yet listed in the system Saturday morning.
