A vehicle involved in a near-deadly crash at the unsanctioned car rally in Wildwood is being sought.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office released a photo of the vehicle along with a picture of a man who allegedly assaulted a police officer during the H2Oi chaos last month.
That black Honda Accord and its driver are now being sought, Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto announced.
The Honda has a distinct aftermarket tail light package and should have significant damage to the front passenger side quarter panel, according to a news release.
Two people were killed in a separate crash, which resulted in a Delaware man being held in jail.
They are also looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a police officer during the melee.
Photos of the man taken from social media has a caption across it saying, “This my first time going to h20i and dude was it wild.”
A Hammonton teen encouraged some of the issues that plagued Wildwood during the unsanctioned rally, according to charges he now faces.
Zion Diaz, 18, is charged with the fourth-degree crime of riot.
He is accused of instructing others to block intersections, do “burnouts” in their vehicles and block police vehicles from responding to emergency calls.
Diaz was arrested at his residence on Bridge Avenue without incident. He was processed and released on a summons.
