Buena man sentenced to six years in sexual misconduct with boy

A Buena man was sentenced to six years in prison Wednesday for endangering a child by sexual misonduct.

Hector Soto, 50, of Minotola, pleaded guilty this summer to second-degree child endangerment and third-degree possession of exploitative images of children stemming from his contact with a then-13-year-old boy in December of 2014.

A search of Soto's phone found explicit photos of the boy as well as other juveniles. Franklin Township police led the initial investigation.

Upon his release, Soto must register as a Megan's Law offender and will have lifetime supervision.
