Adalberto Tobi was shot Sept. 17, allegedly by Kalim Jackson.
An Atlantic City man has been arrested in a shooting that wounded one man Sunday.
Kalim Jackson, 31, is charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the shooting that wounded Adalberto Tobi, 21.
Tobi was found shot in the area of South Carolina and Baltic avenues at 2:05 a.m. Sunday.
Jackson was arrested Thursday night, during a motor vehicle stop, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
The shooting may be linked to one Sept. 17, at South Carolina and Atlantic avenues.
The report of shots fired there led police to arrest Naim Jackson, who was found hiding in a car with his two young children, including an infant in a car seat, police said. Under the baby's car seat they found a gun.
Naim and Kalim are brothers, police confirmed.
An investigation by the city's Violent Crimes Unit determined there was an exchange of gunfire between Naim Jackson and an unknown suspect. Police are looking for anyone with information about that incident.
Meanwhile, no information was released on motive for Tobi's shooting.
Tobi was 19 when he was arrested in 2014 in a shooting that wounded two men. He was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault, along with weapons offenses. Court records show he pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree aggravated assault, and was given a sentence of 18 months of parole ineligibility. He served 547 days in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
