Pleasantville man faces five years in prison on drug and gun charges

  • News
A Pleasantville man pleaded guilty Friday to multiple gun charges and drug charges. Keith S. Allen faces five years in prison serving all five years under the plea agreement,  Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said. Police were called to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino on Aug. 19, 2016, after a housekeeper found about 454 wax packets of heroin along with marijuana and cocaine. The room was registered to Allen. Later that day, officers pulled Allen over not far from the casino, and found 39 more wax folds of heroin, along with a 9mm Glock 26 loaded with 15 rounds. Fourteen of them were hollowpoint bullets. It also had a fully loaded large-capacity magazine with 33 rounds. Two months later, Egg Harbor Township police were called to Cube Smart self-storage after firearms were found in a rental unit. Inside, police found a fully loaded .25-caliber semi-automatic Burgo pistol, a 5.56 caliber semi-automatic rifle and 10 30-round high-capacity magazines. The rental unit was leased by Allen. Allen pleaded guilty to four counts of third-degree heroin possession with intent to distribute and two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun.
