A man was injured while working on a car in the Walmart parking lot in Egg Harbor Township, police said.
Joseph McGowan, 44, of Absecon, was trying to fix his car when the vehicle rolled off the jack and on top of him.
People at the scene got the car off of McGowan before police arrived, police said.
McGowan was seriously injured, and was treated at the scene by members of the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare paramedics.
He was then taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus.
The incident is being investigated by Officer Robert Moran.
