A Mays Landing teen with what police called "an extensive criminal history" was arrested for stealing a car Wednesday morning.
Hamilton Township police were called to Rundle Avenue just after 6 a.m., where the victim reported someone stole his unlocked vehicle overnight.
About two hours later, police received a report of two suspicious men walking in the center of town.
One of the men, Isaiah Gray, had an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody, police said.
Searching Gray, 18, police found a small amount of marijuana and the keys to the stolen car.
Police say Gray admitted to stealing the vehicle in a taped confession.
He was charged with burglary and theft, and was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The vehicle was returned to its owner.
Gray's record includes multiple burglaries and thefts, police said. He was recently released from jail on an unrelated warrant.
