An Absecon man injured while working on his car in a Walmart parking lot has died.
Joseph McGowan, 44, was trying to fix his car at about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday while in the Egg Harbor Township lot when the car rolled of the jack and onto him.
People in the area got him out from under the car before police arrived.
He was treated at the scene by members of the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare paramedics.
He was then taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he later died of his injuries.
The incident is being investigated by Officer Robert Moran.
