Two Atlantic City public safety dispatchers have been arrested after one was allegedly selling oxycodone to another while on duty.
The investigation began after a concerned citizen reported narcotic use by civilian employees within the Communications Bureau, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Shekeia Wade, 32, of Galloway Township, allegedly sold oxycodone to shift supervisor Jennifer Dalton, 42, of Atlantic City.
Both are suspended without pay.
Two other female workers are also suspended without pay, although they have not been criminally charged.
All four face administrative charges. The two women not arrested are not being named publicly, Fair said.
Wade is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute and possession within 500 feet of a public zone.
Dalton is charged with possession.
Both were released on summonses pending a future court date.
