At top, Aki Dunbar with youngest daughter, Amazen. And above, with siblings, Nicole Williams and Alsharif Dunbar. The family of an Atlantic City man fatally gunned down this week will spend the weekend celebrating his life. Aki Dunbar, 41, was killed Wednesday night in a shooting on N. South Carolina Avenue that also wounded his friend Herbert Jacobs. "He made you feel loved and he had a way of making everyone feel special," said Dunbar's sister, Nicole Williams. A benefit will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight at the Shore Park low-rise on North Virginia Avenue. It's a chance to give back to the man who would give anything to his friends. "Aki was one of the sweetest people in the world," his sister said. "He always wanted to help." He leaves being three daughters: Akiya, 23; Zakiyyah, 15,  and Amazen, 5, who was with her father every day, Williams said. He also checked in on his father daily. "My brother was a good person, he didn't deserve this," Williams said. "He just was so loving and kind." There have been no arrests in the shooting. There will be a viewing at Mikal's Funeral Parlor from 5:30 to 7:30 Sunday evening. His funeral is set for 11 a.m. Monday at the All Wars Memorial building on Adriatic Avenue. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit at 609-909-7666 or Atlantic City police at 609-347-5766. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411) beginning the text with ACPD.
