An Atlantic City man was wounded Wednesday when he accidentally shot himself, police said.
Officers responded to the 2400 block of Arctic Avenue at 6:21 p.m. for the report of a man shot and found Jose Torres-Hernandez, 20, with a gunshot wound, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with a non-life-threatening injury.
After an investigation by detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit, it was determined that Torres-Hernandez shot himself, Fair said.
No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
