  • News
An Atlantic City man wanted in the December killing of his former girlfriend has been arrested. Jacqueline Hoyle, 24, was found dead of a single gunshot wound inside her home on the 300 block of North Tennessee Avenue just before 4:30 a.m. Dec. 20.
Jacqueline Hoyle, 23, was found dead Dec. 20. Joseph McCoy, 43, was charged with murder and weapons offenses two days later, and has been a fugitive since. He was arrested last week in North Carolina by members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. He is currently is awaiting extradition in the Mecklenburg County Jail, where he is listed as Abdul Salaam. His Bloods name, according to a post by the victim's brother, is Savage Salaam. That is also the name on McCoy's Facebook page. Just after his sister's death, Greg Hoyle posted McCoy's pictures on Facebook right after his sister's death saying "this is the coward that took my sister from us." When asked about the post at the time, the Prosecutor's Office said it was aware but was not commenting. McCoy's bail has been set at $750,000 full cash.
