A man wanted in an Atlantic City shooting was arrested this week after allegedly threatening and robbing a witness.
Bryan Miranda, 23, has been wanted in the March 31 shooting of 39-year-old Luis Torres.
Detective Steve Melchiore recently found out that Miranda was in Atlantic City, and an alert was sent out to all officers with his description.
Officers monitoring the Boardwalk surveillance cameras saw Miranda at Texas and Pacific avenues on Wednesday. Officers Ed Obert and James Bower arrested Miranda without incident, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
In addition to the aggravated assault and weapons charges, Miranda also faces additional charges after he allegedly entered the home of a witness, and used a large wooden post to threaten the unnamed person.
Miranda also allegedly stole numerous items from the residence. An investigation by detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit led to charges being filed against Miranda in both incidents, including witness tampering. Miranda was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
