A Mays Landing man was drunk and had heroin in his car when he crashed in a parking lot with his young daughter in the car, police said.
Justin Tamanini, 23, is charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a minor in the vehicle, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia in the Sunday night crash.
Police were called to the parking lot of the Mays Landing Diner at 10:35 p.m. for a single-car crash, police said.
The car caught fire, which was quickly put out by the Mays Landing Fire Department, according to the report.
Tamanini's 2-year-old daughter was in the car unrestrained when the crash occurred.
Neither was injured.
Tamanini was arrested, and additional criminal charges are expected to be filed.
"I've been waiting to be this happy," Tamanini wrote in an update to his Facebook profile picture posted just hours before the crash. "Nothing's gonna get in my way of this mission I'm on."
The selfie is taken from inside a car. In it, Tamanini appears to be wearing his seat belt.
