Three injured in one-car Hamilton crash

Three people were injured and traffic delayed for several hours due to a one-car crash Monday evening. The 2015 Dodge Dart was heading south on Grand Avenue after 5 p.m. when it left the road near Reega Avenue, striking several trees. An 18-year-old passenger had to be airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. Two juvenile passengers were treated at the scene and taken to the city hospital. The juvenile occupants in the front seat were wearing their seatbelts, while the rear seat passenger was not, police said. Multiple airbags deployed. Traffic in the area was delayed for several hours. Assisting with the investigation was, Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare Paramedics, Egg Harbor Township EMS and Police Department, Cologne Volunteer Fire Company, Mays Landing Volunteer Fire Company, Laureldale Volunteer Fire Company, and Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company, and Aeromedical services. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
