Three teens were arrested in the carjacking of a cabdriver early Sunday morning.
The three were picked up in Pleasantville and taken to Mays Landing, where they put a gun to the cabdriver's head and demanded cash, the victim told Hamilton Township police.
The victim ran from the vehicle and the three suspects fled in the cab at about 1:45 a.m., according to the report.
A short time later, officers found the cab unoccupied, police said. Three teens matching the description of the suspects.
Two of the teens had some of the items stolen from the victim, police said. A loaded revolver was found in the area.
Two 15-year-old boys from Pleasantville and a 16-year-old from Atlantic City were charged with armed robbery, carjacking, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and theft. They were taken to the Harborields Juvenile Detention Center in Egg Harbor City.
