A 31-year-old man was shot and killed in Atlantic City on Friday night.
He was identified Monday as David Blackwell Jr.
The shooting happened outside the Barclay Arms Apartments in the city's Back Maryland section at about 10:15 p.m., police said.
The victim was found unconscious. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:45 p.m., Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
The city's Violent Crimes Unit and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit were called to the scene.
The victim's family has been notified, but his name is not being released publicly at this time, Tyner said.
He had lived in Atlantic City, but recently had a Hammonton address, according to police.
