An Atlantic City man was arrested Monday with a loaded handgun reported stolen from Colorado in 2015.
Dante Braxton, 19, allegedly ran when Officers Anthony Abrams and John Pyle tried to stop him at 6 p.m. in the 1400 block of Magellan Avenue.
While being chased, Braxton threw what turned out to be a handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets that was reported stolen from Colorado, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
He was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, receiving stolen property, possession of hollow-point ammunition, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest.
Braxton is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
