Resident complaints resulted in 12 arrests in a drug investigation in Atlantic City this past week.
The Special Investigations Unit targeted drug sales in the Marina District — also known as Back Maryland — and Atlantic Avenue.
Detectives also seized two handguns, cocaine, marijuana, money from drug sales and a vehicle used to transport and sell drugs, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Kalil Sloan, 34, and Michael Fletcher, 32, both of the city, were arrested on drug and weapons charges. Both were charged with possession of a defaced firearm.
Sloan was additionally charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He was also issued multiple motor vehicle summonses, Fair said.
Also charged with various drug offenses were: Daquan Cook, 22; Cleopatra Williams, 25; John Stevens, 40; Jabril Hall, 26; Israel Hebron, 26, and Sean Thompson, 45, all of Atlantic City. Brian Holt, 25, and Anthony Ciarla, 27, both of Ventnor. John Chow, 29, of Egg Harbor Township, and Raymond Fitzgerald, 19, of Somers Point.
