An Atlantic City man was arrested after he allegedly entered a home while a woman and her children were home.
Police were called to the home on the 900 block of Baltic Avenue at about 6:20 a.m. Monday for the report of a man trying to get in, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers arrived to find the home locked with no one outside, and no one answering the door, according to the report.
Dispatch then received a 911 call saying the man had gotten inside and the woman and her children were locked in the second-floor bathroom.
Officer Sean Pettit forced the front door open and alerted those inside that police were there, Fair said.
Muhsin Faulkner came down from the second floor and was taken into custody without incident by Pettit and Officer Tyler Daily.
Faulkner, 28, is charged with burglary and criminal trespass.
Atlantic City police said he was sent the Atlantic County Justice Facility, but he was not there Tuesday, according to jail records.
