A Pleasantville man who said his car was shot at last Monday was arrested two days later after Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office detectives allegedly found two guns and more than 400 bags of heroin in his home.
Alexander Neewilly, 22, told police Monday he was near the railroad tracks on Devins Lane in Pleasantville when he fled to the NJ Transit Bus Maintenance Yard after his car had been shot at.
On Wednesday, detectives from the prosecutor’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics unit and Pleasantville police obtained a warrant to search his home, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Inside, the found a loaded 10mm Glock pistol and a loaded .38-caliber Sports Arms revolver, along with more than 400 bags of heroin packaged for sale, Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.

He was charged with three counts of possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, one count of possession of heroin, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a drug-related offense.
Neewilly was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The state is asking for a detention hearing to have him held pending trial.
Neewilly was released from prison in January after serving nearly two years on charges of resisting arrest/eluding while operating a motor vehicle, state Department of Corrections records. show.
