A drug deal led to three arrests — and a gun — in Atlantic City on Friday.
Sgt. Richard Andrews was conducting surveillance at about 10 a.m., sparked by calls from residents about drug dealing near a school bus stop in the 1800 block of Hummock Avenue, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Andrews saw Yusef Abdullah and Darla Smith make a drug transaction, according to the report.
Andrews found Smith in possession of cocaine, and arrested her.
Detectives Avette Harper and Garry Stowe stopped Abdullah and John Coles on Hummock Avenue.
Abdullah was arrested for selling the cocaine to Smith. Coles was then found with a loaded handgun, and taken into custody.
Abdullah, 22, of Atlantic City, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, sale of CDS, terroristic threats, and two outstanding warrants. He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Smith, 53, of Atlantic City, was charged with possession of a CDS and released on a summons. She was released on a summons with a future court date.
Coles, 47, also of Atlantic City, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person not to possess a weapon.
He was jailed.
