Atlantic City merchant complaints led to two arrests, a loaded gun and drugs, police said. Officers Eric Evans and Kevin Perez conducted surveillance in the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue after business owner complains about drug dealing and possession in the area, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. The officers saw a drug sale at 4:42 p.m. Monday, in the entrance of a convenience store on the block, according to the report. After the sale, the two men went their separate ways. Alcides Montalvo Jr., 41, of Atlantic City, was stopped and found with a bag of marijuana. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and released on a summons. Jerick Henry was found in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue. Henry was found in possession of a loaded handgun with a defaced serial number, marijuana and hydrocodone, Fair said. Henry, 24, of Absecon, was charged with two counts of possession of a CDS, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense, possession of a defaced firearm, hindering apprehension and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Henry is not quite a year into a sentence of four years’ probation on drug charges, court records show. He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
