Teen Arrested After Shots Fired In Atlantic City

An Atlantic City teen was arrested after a shots fired call Tuesday afternoon. Officers were called to Boston and Atlantic avenues at 3:12 p.m., and found evidence of gunfire but no victim, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. An investigation led by Detective Sterling Wheaten found the shooter on surveillance, according to the report. The 16-year-old suspect was later found in the area of Dover and Ventnor avenues by Officer Eric Evans, Fair said. The teen is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was taken to the Harborfields Youth Detention Center in Egg Harbor City. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 609-347-5766.
