Two men including the victim have been charged in an afternoon shooting at a Bridgeton gas station.
Police responded to the Riggins station at Burlington Road and Route 49 at about 4:30 p.m. Monday for reports of someone shot, Police Chief Michael Gaimari said.
Zahmere McKoy, 19, already had been rushed to Inspira Hospital by friends, according to the report.
An investigation found that McKoy whose name previously was released as McCoy and Bryheem Hall, 20, arrived at the station in separate vehicles and an apparent altercation between the two left McCoy wounded.
McKoy and Hall, both of Bridgeton, are charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and weapons offenses.
Hall is in the Cumberland County Jail.
McKoy was served with arrest warrants Thursday at Christiana Hospital in Delaware, where he was taken for treatment.
He is in the custody of Delaware State Police pending extradition.
During the shooting there were several employees and customers at the station, with more people traveling through the nearby intersection, the chief said, pointing to the potential danger to innocent bystanders.
