Three teens were arrested with real and replica guns during an investigation, Atlantic City police said. Detective Pete Calabrese was trying to speak with a group at Pennsylvania and Arctic avenues as part of a robbery investigation at 11:09 a.m. Wednesday, when one of the people ran, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Calabrese chased the 17-year-old man into a parking lot in the 1000 block of Arctic Avenue, where Officer George Mancuso took him into custody. At that point, an 18-Year-old woman, Shamera Marreo, tried to interfere in the arrest by grabbing and trying to pull Calabrese away, Fair said. Mancuso found a loaded handgun in the teen's pants, according to the report. It had been reported stolen from Galloway Township. A third member of the group, Kaleef Ardis, was stopped by Officer Thomas Gilardi as he tried to enter an apartment complex. Ardis was arrested after being found in possession of a replica handgun and marijuana. Marrero and Ardis also had active warrants for their arrest. The 17-year-old was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and receiving stolen property. He was sent to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center. Marrero was charged with obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and contempt of court. Ardis, 19, was charged with unlawful possession of an imitation firearm, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and contempt of court. Marrero and Ardis were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
