Armed robbery at Pleasantville gas station

  • News
Pleasantville police are investigating an armed robbery inside a gas station convenience store Monday night. Police were called to the Atlantic Fuel at Delilah Road and Main Street just before 7 p.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said. The suspect entered the store area brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk, according to the report. An undisclosed amount of money was given to the man, who fled on foot north across Delilah Road. The man eventually got into a blue minivan and fled north on Main Street, Hartman said. He is described as a black male wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and a white scarf covering his face. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pleasantville Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit at 609-641-6100 or Atlantic County CrimeStoppers at 609-652-1234.
