The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the fatal shooting of a Millville man by police Monday morning.
Edward Gandy Jr., 47, called police at about 10:45 a.m., saying he had a loaded firearm and was at High and McNeal streets, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
Police responded to the scene and "an officer-involved shooting took place," Webb-McRae said.
Police blocked off the scene on High Street from Green Street to Foundry.
No details about the shooting were released.
An autopsy will be completed.
The officer involved has been put on administrative leave.
