Two men were arrested on aggravated assault charges in separate domestic incidents within about 90 minutes of each other, Atlantic City police said. A 45-year-old woman stopped Officers Ozriel Valentin and Kevin Sketers at 9:14 p.m. Tuesday at New York and Reading avenues. She had a laceration to her forehead that extended to her ear, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. The suspect was identified as the woman's former boyfriend, Leon Childs, who had fled in a vehicle, she told police. Later that night, Pleasantville Police Officer Jeff Raine found the vehicle and stopped it. Childs, 54, of Pleasantville, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. At 10:45 pm, patrol officers responded to the Barkentine Court in reference to a domestic dispute involving a family, Fair said. Officers arrived to find a 55-year-old man with a laceration to his head. During an argument, Damon Ramos threw a decorative metal airplane at the man striking him in the head causing the injury, according to the report. Ramos, who had left the residence, was found and arrested by Officer Justin Draper in the 100 block of North Maine Avenue, Fair said. Ramos, 29, of Atlantic City, was charged with aggravated assault. Both victims were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. Both suspects were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
