An Atlantic City teen was arrested with a gun and drugs after a tip from a concerned resident, police said.
Detective Ermindo Marsini got a tip Monday that there was a man in the 2700 block of Pacific Avenue with a handgun, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Patrol officers were alerted and responded to the scene, but the suspect had already left on a bicycle, Fair said.
Officers Melvin Murray III and Autumn Mason found the 17-year-old in the 3000 block of Atlantic Avenue.
The officers found handgun in his waistband, and arrested him. He also had four grams of cocaine, Fair said.
He is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The teen is being held in the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
