  • News
A student’s mother is accused of assaulting an Atlantic City schoolteacher inside the main office, police said. Gabrielle DeWolfe, 26, is charged with aggravated assault in the attack on the teacher, identified only as a 55-year-old woman from Absecon. Police were called to the Pennsylvania Avenue School just after 10 a.m. for the report of an assault, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. The teacher, whose name is not being released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus, where she was treated and released, Fair said. DeWolfe was arrested at the scene. She has been released on a summons.
