A Pleasantville man was arrested on drug charges after police received a tip about drug activity.
Officer Autumn Mason responded to the Days Inn at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, after a resident reported drug activity in a motel room, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
An investigation by detectives from the Special Investigations Section led to the arrest of Lamir King and recovery of 900 individual bags of heroin and $4,800 in cash.
The cash was believed to be from drug sales, and was seized, Fair said.
King, 21, is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent within 500 feet of a public zone.
King was released on a summons with a future court date.
