A Hamilton Township police officer hit by a truck while working a traffic detail late Monday morning has been released from the hospital. Sgt. Christopher Gehring was on foot on Wrangleboro Road near Exit 12 off the Atlantic City Expressway when he was struck by Chevy Silverado driven by James Bruno, police said.
