Pleasantville police closed off several blocks late Saturday morning as they searched for a suspect seen with a gun.
The area was released before noon, but the suspect had not been located, Capt. Matt Hartman said.
He said that police did see the gun.
The foot chase started around 10 a.m. Absecon, Egg Harbor Township and Galloway Township police were also on scene.
