  • News
State Police were in Atlantic City in a variety of ways Thursday, including horseback. Visitors and residents were surprised to see mounted police at at Tanger Outlets The Walk. Uniformed officers were also around to talk to people about the “See Something, Say Something” campaign, which encourages the public to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement. https://www.facebook.com/beba.f.negron/posts/2247242088637766
There will also be plainclothes officers adding another layer of security, Sgt. Jeff Flynn said. The officers' presence is not in response to a specific threat but part of the Homeland Security mission, he said. An explanation of the "target hardening deployment" was handed out to those the police encountered. To report suspicious activity, call 1-866-4-SAFE-NJ, email tips@njohsp.gov, or call 911.
