An Atlantic City man is in jail after police say they linked him to several bicycle thefts.
Numerous hours of surveillance footage was reviewed by officers in the city's surveillance center in an investigation led by Detective Eugene Laielli, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
As a result, a flyer was distributed with a suspect in the theft investigation, according to the report.
Officers Jeffrey Hannon and Christopher Dodson were in the 2500 block of Pacific Avenue at 12:19 p.m. Friday when they saw a man matching the suspect, Fair said.
Joseph Stansberry, 32, was wanted on several active warrants, and was arrested.
The investigation then led police to charge him with the theft of six bicycles valued more than $3,000.
Stansberry is charged with four counts of theft and one count of possession of burglary tools.
He is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
